How to make a fondant ruffle cake

Apologies for the delay in blog posts. I am back from my wonderful holiday in Bali and straight into it!

I’ve been wanting to make this style of ruffle cake for a while – I love the romantic feel to the ruffles and wanted to try something different to the last ruffle cake I made.

It was so much easier than I anticipated and didn’t take me too long to make it (approx 30 mins for the 6″ cake). I have used a dummy cake in this tutorial for the purpose of showing you how to create the ruffles. Post holiday the last thing I need is to be eating cake!!

    Thankyou for another great tutorial. I bought a dummy cake to start practicing a bit more. Can you tell me what did you use to stick the fondant to the dummy? Also, does the fondant come off easily afterwards so that the dummy could be reused?

      I just used water and that was enough!

      and ps – yes you can easily peel off the fondant!
