How to make a converse shoe cake

It was one of my best friend’s daughters first birthday on the weekend and I made her this baby converse shoe cake

This cake was a great opportunity to try something different for a girl’s birthday – so it’s in non-traditional ‘girls colours’ but I love the brightness of it and think the colours work really well.

I made a tutorial for the shoes two years ago (wow – didn’t think it was that long ago!!) – click here for it

Hi! This cake is super cute but I love that it’s not overly girly! I’m thinking about following your tutorial for my daughter’s 1st birthday. Can you please tell me the name/brand/font of the tappits you used for the letters?

      HI Zoe

They are FMM tappits – the upper case set

Thanks! I bought a set and used them today. They worked perfectly and I can’t wait to put them on my son’s cake (he’s turning 3 in a few weeks)!!
