Can you cook burgers in the oven?
There is a lot of debate about whether or not you can cook burgers in the oven. Some people swear by it, while others say that it just doesn’t produce the same results as cooking them on the stove. I wanted to test it out for myself, so i cooked a burger in the oven and one on the stovetop to see which one was better.
How to cook burgers in the oven?
If I wanted my burgers cooked properly i would have started them off on top of my grill with direct heat for around 5 minutes per side before placing them into my oven preheated at 350F degrees with some foil wrapped around them covering their surface completely until they reached an internal temperature between 160F – 170F degrees . Once they reached 160F – 170F degrees i removed them from their covering foil only leaving enough open space between each burger so they could “bake” into each other as well as separate from each other as well . I placed them back onto my grill top where they sat while i let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing .
This gives all those juices time to settle down while keeping all those flavors locked within your patties . After slicing your burgers let rest another 5 minutes before serving .

Procedure
for a thick beef patty you would normally need around a half pound of ground beef for every one serving but for smaller batches go less with that to achieve the best results for you burger to be juicier.
You can use a combination of lean or fat also depending on what you want but it’s your choice although turkey usually is leaner and less juicy than pork or whatever meat of choice you use which puts off some odd smells due to not enough fats in your burgers so make sure you have enough fat content there to avoid the weird odor during the cooking and resting process and the shredded cheese will also bind those scents together for better results in taste in the end of it all 🙂 better to taste a burger and not have a weird smell lingering on your fingers afterwards otherwise you could definitely be put off from eating it again lol.. less is more when it comes to the taste of these fresh creations so that is where i am going with it for now which is no overkill with your ingredients to get this right!!
Give this one a try sometime you’ll like what you discover 😉 good luck brother… have a good weekend!!

What is the best way to cook burgers?
Grilling or baking are the best methods. When grilling, it is best to use a thin, firm burger. For the best result, the patties should be grilled over indirect heat.
The grill should be heated to 350°F (180°C). The patty should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). For medium-rare, cook the patty for 4 to 5 minutes.
For medium, cook the patty for 6 to 7 minutes. For well-done, cook the patty for 8 to 9 minutes.

Is it better to cook burgers in the oven or on the stove?
I had a friend who told me I should probably make burgers in the oven if I wanted the outside crispier and hotter. He thought that would help prevent things from burning.
I like the idea of cooking my burgers on the stove, but maybe it’s because I actually cook burgers in the oven before eating them?
Tina – Not really. My mom always cooks them on a gas stove. It is not really a good idea to use gas to cook burgers though, when it has gotten this hot in your house, you just really don’t want anything to burn.

Do you need to flip burgers in the oven?
A good tip I learned from my friend Chef Mark is that when using any pan with any type of heat source (oven/range/gas), never put your burger into direct heat from any type of source because this can result into fast burning as well as unevenly cooked burgers which make them chewy instead of juicy on one side or one side getting all crispy while other side gets cooked really well leaving it raw inside . You should always preheat pan before placing burger into it as well as using high heat from gas range (which we are assuming you have already turned off) then place burger on pan . Preheat grill grate also if you plan on using grill grate .
If you are not planning on grilling at all , just leave grill grate off until burgers get ready . After flipping burgers do not turn on oven/gas burner . It might end up being unevenly cooked again .
Can I oven cook burgers instead of grill?
Oven cooking burgers is a great option if you don’t have a grill or if you want to avoid using oil. Place the burgers on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, until cooked through.
