many dyes are used to color the rice we eat every day – red or black are actually common varieties used by people around the world to make sushi rolls or “black”-rice puddings.
However some people are concerned about the effects of the chemicals on the dna of the people who eat these types of foods on a daily basis over a long period of time; their concerns are unfounded as studies of humans who have eaten small amounts of these substances have found no harm to their long term health at all!
But of course it is always better to be safe than sorry so if you don’t have any immediate use for the colored rice and aren’t planning to eat it soon you might consider preserving it by keeping it in the freezer until you need it in the future or if that’s impractical you can also try using it only occasionally as a treat for yourself rather than being included in regular meals in large amounts on a regular basis if you fear it will adversely affect your health in any way but to be honest people including ourselves who do this find it absolutely fine…be sure to store the cooked product in the refrigerator if you want to preserve it this way but do feel free to experiment at your own risk 😀 the most important thing is to enjoy your food 🙂

What can I use to dye rice?
You can use two things instead of food coloring for this purpose — powdered fruit juice or coffee filters filled with grape juice or cherry juice (they’re usually used as wine making filters).
The trick is simply soaking them into your washed rice until it becomes dark enough then rinsing well with cold water before using as usual as desired!
But if you don’t want extra hassle than I suggest you go ahead with natural ways that include mixing ingredients from different types of spices like turmeric powder (for yellow) ginger powder (for orange) red chili powder (for pink) etc together and mixing them well until they become darker than usual!
But remember this method only works when using basmati rice!
