How to store garlic?

At room temperature

In the fridge
To store garlic in the refrigerator, peel off the outer layer of the bulb. Slice the peeled cloves into halves or quarters. Place the garlic in a glass jar or plastic storage container. Cover the garlic with olive oil. Add salt if desired. Store the garlic in the refrigerator. Use within 2 weeks.
In the freezer
Garlic freezes well. Simply place whole bulbs in a resealable freezer bag. Freeze for 3 months. To thaw frozen garlic, remove from the freezer and allow to sit at room temperature until soft enough to slice.
