Cook smart
you can use the small holes to drain out the extra water and save it for making stock or soup later with vegetables and/or meat during your meal preparation process using your instant pot without waste of any usable liquid at all which everyone like very much!
All you need is a silicone kitchen press to do this effectively to save your time and efforts.
Properly drain the water
It is simple to drain the extra water when you cook rice in an electric cooker. But be sure that you should not touch any part of the cooker, otherwise this can burn your fingers as well. In an instant pot, all you need to do is push the dishwasher button after opening it and then close it by pressing the vent button twice.
Once again keep in mind that not touching anything during your cooking process can cause burns from any parts of the machine. Your rice will have a light smell due to its high starch content which will turn from mild into more prominent if boiled for too long but this smells good and is very normal for rice or grain based food like pasta as well as other foods that use grains or gluten-based starches like potato, etc .

Mushy and soggy quinoa is usually caused by wet quinoa. Quinoa absorbs a lot of moisture from the air, so if it’s wet, the quinoa will be soft and mushy. To prevent mushy quinoa, follow these steps:
1.
Rinse the quinoa before cooking it. Quinoa that has been rinsed will absorb less water and be less likely to become soggy. 2.
Cook quinoa according to the package instructions. Quinoa that is cooked properly will not be wet and will not stick to the pan. 3.

Quinoa tabbouleh
water + quinoa = super yummy; much like couscous but chewier and more flavorful…same flavor as brown rice except you cook it much faster as it doesn’t need to “catch” its consistency while it’s being cooked and then drained off after it’s done like traditional white rice does..honestly i hate the taste of regular long grained rice and the only way i can get my husband to eat it is when we eat something made from a regular box of minute brown basmati which contains most of the ingredients found in the recipe above and only takes a few minutes to make in the microwave instead of an hour in the oven!!
And the bonus is no added salt because its already in there!!
!also …reminded me of a korean beef dish called budae jjigae made with ramen noodles which is my favorite too which this recipe could easily be made into with the addition of some ground beef if you like using red meat or any other kind of meat/seafood or even tofu for extra protein if you prefer plant based foods only.i made this for my family and everyone loved it even my picky daughter said i could have just made it for her and said i should leave the serving size on the package the same so people can see how much
