How to make brown sugar soft again?
Heat the brown sugar in the microwave for 20 seconds. Heat the brown sugar in the microwave for 10 seconds. Heat the brown sugar in the microwave for 5 seconds.

Microwave
first thing first you need to heat it up which you can do by microwaving it till it gets a little softer if not then you can try another method which is soaking it in boiling water this will soften the sugar however it will also break down the molasses layer so that’s why it is easy to make hard sugar sweet but the problem is the same if you try to dissolve it again with hot water it will be very hard so it will break and it will be sticky you can use it in baking purposes so that you can make cookies and so on or you can make cakes and it is also perfect for frostings and glazes.
Oven
I’ve tried both oven and microwave but I prefer the former. The trick is that you must have patience to heat it up in oven and be careful not to burn yourself while heating it. If you use a microwave for rice cooker, you will simply turn off the unit which has set for 30 seconds or so as it takes a little time because of low power in this device however if you put some food in this machine, they will start to cook quickly so if somebody doesn’t take care of things then rice will be overcooked or food like chicken may go tough.
Bread
When it comes to cooking rice, I prefer to use an oven. It’s slower and requires a bit more patience, but it’s worth it because you can avoid burning yourself and the rice will come out perfectly cooked. One downside to ovens, however, is that they can be quite hot, so be careful not to touch them or stand too close to them.
And be sure to remove the rice cooker from the oven once it’s done cooking, as microwaves tend to cook food quickly and unevenly, producing potentially overcooked rice or tough chicken. Personally, I prefer the taste and texture of rice cooked in an oven, but if you have a microwave handy, go for it. Just be sure to take care not to overcook or undercook it, and to be mindful of the heat.

What causes brown sugar to harden?
When brown sugar is exposed to air, it hardens. This is because the sugar crystals absorb moisture from the air, which causes them to clump together. If your brown sugar has hardened, there are a few simple ways to soften it.
One way to soften brown sugar is to place it in a bowl with a piece of bread. The bread will absorb the moisture from the sugar, and the sugar will become soft again. Another way to soften brown sugar is to place it in a bowl with a damp paper towel.
The paper towel will help to rehydrate the sugar, and the sugar will become soft again. If you need to use your brown sugar immediately, you can place it in the microwave for a few seconds. This will help to break up the sugar crystals, and the sugar will be soft again.
No matter how you soften your brown sugar, it’s important to store it in an airtight container. This will help to keep the sugar from hardening again.

Rust Proof container
The best thing you can do is store it in a dry place like an air tight container. You don’t want to store them in the refrigerator because they will eventually harden, and when that happens the brown sugar will become difficult to work with. If you make a lot of treats with your brown sugar, it’s easy to tell where they came from and how long they were stored.
Plastic bag
If you’re like me, you love to cook and make treats with your brown sugar. But you don’t want to waste any of it, or have it go bad before you can use it. That’s why it’s important to store your brown sugar in an airtight container, like a plastic bag.

Double packing
When I am making sugar cookies I like putting my brown sugar between 2 sheets of wax paper while I roll out my dough (flour works too).
I also put some extra flour on top of each wax paper layer so that when I add my cookie dough (or whatever else) my wax paper doesn’t stick together or rip!
It works great!
The wax paper is cheap so if I ever get tired of rolling my dough between wax paper then I just throw out one sheet after each cookie recipe has been made (that way no one will know!)
Then when I am done using all 3 sheets I just throw them away!
You could use wax paper instead of plastic bags if that works better for what you need!
Also plastic bags work well too!
You can just reuse them until they get too gross or rips or holes develop!
For instance if they tear they won’t hold together so well making sure they aren’t torn all up by now so when they tear instead just use another one!

Freezing
Place the brown sugar in a resealable bag.

Put about half an inch or so (1-2 tablespoons) sugar into an empty cup or glass container that has no lid on top or anywhere near it but doesn’t touch it’s bottom surface because sugar likes air flow above it . Place this covered container into your microwave oven . Set it’s oven temperature at low power for about 15 minutes .
Then test it by carefully pulling on one side (not too hard) with one hand while keeping other hand pressed against bottom surface with no movement until sugar has melted then slowly lift lid away from bottom surface . Use spoon to scoop out any remaining melted sugar if needed . To quickly reheat this sugar put into container without lid , add about 1/2 inch (1 tablespoon) cold water , cover tightly , heat again until sugar has melted then carefully lift lid away from bottom surface , Use spoon again as before .
