When the dough is placed in a container with four corners, it will take on the shape of the container, making it easier for you to move the dough to the corners of the baking pan. One thing I’ll add is to make sure the proving container is well-coated with oil. When you need the dough to come out of the container, it should be able to do so effortlessly. This helps prevent sticking issues later on.
If you don’t have any containers like this available, you can always improvise by cutting off some pieces from plastic storage bags. Just remember to coat them thoroughly with oil before placing the dough inside.
Once you have chosen the appropriate container, now comes the time to turn the dough out onto the tray. Make sure you place the dough evenly across the surface of the tray. Don’t just dump all the dough onto the tray; spread it out carefully.
It doesn’t matter whether the dough sticks together or falls apart because you’re going to cover it with another layer anyway. Once you have done this, leave the dough alone until it rises again.
After turning the dough out onto the baking sheet, let it rise as usual. Most people prefer letting their pizza rise overnight, which gives the yeast plenty of time to work its magic. But if you only have limited time at home, you can still achieve great results by leaving the dough in the fridge for around 8 hours.

At this stage, you may want to brush the top of the pizza with olive oil. This will help create a crispy outer shell when baked. However, I personally find that brushing the entire pizza with extra virgin olive oil creates a better flavor overall.
Finally, we come to the most important part of making rectangular pizzas – cutting them into rectangles. For best results, try to do this before the pizza goes into the oven. That way, there won’t be any unevenness caused by heat.
To begin, take one side of the pizza and fold it towards the other side. Next, slice off some pieces of the folded edge so they don’t stick together later. Repeat this process on both sides of the pizza. Finally, place each piece of sliced bread on a clean chopping board.
