Which is the best cider yeast?
Cider yeast is used to ferment apple juice into hard cider. This is done by adding sugar and yeast to apple juice and letting it sit until fermentation occurs. During fermentation, the sugars are converted into alcohol and carbon dioxide gas. After fermentation, the yeast cells are removed from the mixture and the remaining liquid is called cider. Cider is typically served cold but can be served warm if desired. Cider is usually consumed within six months after being fermented.
